DAVIS, VOSE posted by Nikki Barr on Friday, March 14, 2003

Hi. I'm looking for infomation on Carolina Elizabeth (Eliza? middle) (maiden Davis) Vose, who married Charles Joseph Vose. These two are my great-great grandparents. I'd like to go back further to find the parents of Carolina (Davis) and Charles Vose. I read on the NE Historical Society site that Charles was an 1884 homesteader near gates. I think before that he was in Syracuse. I found info on a H.T. Vose in Syracuse, a farmer/Baptist minister. I don't know if this is relation (hopefully father) to Charles. Regarding Carolina, I see a biography written regarding a John Davis, who it mentioned had a brother named William who lived in Broken Bow. I don't know if this is relation (hopefully father) to Carolina. Any info you have would be wonderful. I am 27, I wish I would have started looking years 15 years ago when many of my "Greats" were still alive. Thanks again. I see that there is a biography on John Davis on your site
