Moon – In Green precinct, Saunders county, Neb., on the 18th of February 1879 of diphtheria and membranous croup, Lulu S. aged five years; February 20th, Cassie aged three years; February 21st. Ve______, aged nine months, daughters of Robert E. and Emma E. Moon.
     Only two days after Lulu had been laid awa to rest, two more little caskets each containing a sister, were placed by her side. Thus has death taken the little ones and left a sad and lonely home for the striken parents. The heartfelt sympathies of a large circle of friends go out to them in this hour of their great sorrow.

When the precious blossoms
     That were tended with such care,
Rudely taken from our bosom,
     How our aching hearts despair.

Round their little graves we linger,
     "Till the setting sun is low;
Felling all our hopes have perished
     With the flowers we cherished so".

     Again this community is sadly stricken by the hand of death. Mrs. Bennett's fatal illness endured for a week, and though her sufferings were most intense, all were born with a Christian resignation rarely seen. She was fully aware of her approaching death, and was enabled to shout in the triumphs of faith in the Lord Jesus. For the sake of her family she would have gladly remained, but could resign all to her Father's will. She leaves a husband and five young children for whom earnest sympathy is felt in all the community.

Rest then little ?
     Just blooming into life.
Withered beneath the chill of death,
     But free from pain and strife.

Sleep little Alley sleep.
     Death will not hold thee long,
And in the morning then shalt rise,
     With the immortal throng.
