This page is a compilation of data from Michele's photos plus transcriptions of church records and cemetery
readings from the 1980's. Be sure to scroll all the way to the right to see the notes that go with names.

Immanuel Lutheran Church was founded in 1883 and continued until 1970 when it merged
with Trinity Lutheran in Amherst. The cemetery, begun in 1885, is still active. Most of
these are burials in the Immanuel Cemetery, although a few were buried elsewhere.

While most of them are recorded in the Immanuel Church records, some are recorded in
Trinity Church (in the town of Amherst). For still others we have only the information that is given on the tombstones.
Asterisks ** indicate that death/burial records for these names are not in the Immanuel books.
