This picture was taken
around the 4th of July 1910 in Linn
Co., Iowa. Alonzo Smith lost his right
arm below the elbow at the Battle of
Shiloh. Vincent was captured outside
of Atlanta GA in 1864 and spent the
rest of the Civil War in the
Andersonville Prison Camp. His
nickname at Andersonville was Limber
Jim. Vincent died 8 May 1911 and
Almyra died 15 December 1915. Both are
buried in the St. Edward Evergreen
Cemetery. |
