Josephine Upp

Josephine, youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Upp, residing at
916 Lindell street, Fairbury, Neb., died Saturday, July 6, 1918,
at the age of 5 years, 6 months and 20 days, after an illness of
about ten days, with scarlet fever and diphtheria. A private
funeral was held at the residence which was one of the first
quarantined during the present contagion in Fairbury. Besides the
parents, she leaves one brother, Eli and two sisters, Marie, the
oldest of the children and a Jefferson county teacher, and Lelia.
