Ed Owens

Ed. Owens, a former Rock Island conductor at this place and well
known in this city, died at the home of his wife's parents at
Silver Lake, Kansas, on Saturday last, of Bright's disease. He was
buried at that place Monday under Masonic honors, he being a
member of Fairbury Lodge No. 35, A.F. & A.M. at the time of
his death. He was also a member of the Knights of Macabees here,
in which order he carried $3,000 insurance. He was a
brother-in-law of Mrs. G.E. Tucker of this place, Mr. and Mrs.
Tucker both being in attendance at the funeral Monday.
