Interment was made in Prospect Hill Cem.

INFANT PASSES AWAY
Frank Burdette Humpal, infant son of Mr and Mrs Charles Humpal, passed away Saturday, Feb 13,1926. His death caused presumably by a severe attack of influenza.
The little one, who was but 8 weeks old, showed no indication of illness until early Saturday morning when a physician was hurriedly called, but all efforts to check the rapidly rising temperature and its fatal results were unavailing.
The funeral was held from the home Sunday. Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends of the young parents sympathize with them in their sorrow.

The body was brought to O'Neill arriving Wednesday morning and taken to Scottville where the funeral was held Wednesday. Burial was in Scottville Cemetery. Mrs McGough was the daughter of Mrs O B Long of Scottville, of which place her mother is still a resident.

Funeral services were held at St John's Lutheran Church in Atkinson, Tuesday, conducted by Pastor Rev Wm G Vahle. Mr and Mrs Moore formerly lived in Atkinson. Mrs Moore before her marriage was Clara Naber. The baby son was born Saturday, April 9. DEATH OF JOSEPH SCHAAF
Joseph Schaaf, an aged pioneer of Holt County, passed away at his home near Atkinson last Friday, Nov 7.
The deceased was held in high regard by his acquaintances who knew him as a man faithful to his duties and as kind and generous neighbor.
Born in Alsice Loraine, he was a fine type of the many who came from foreign lands to find a home in far away America.
He is survived by two sons, Michael and George, and two daughters, Mrs Frank Pettinger of this county and Mrs George Keuter of Petersburg, Nebr. The wife and mother preceded him in death 17 years ago.
Funeral services took place from St Joseph Church in Atkinson, Tuesday, Nov 11, conduced by Rev Father Loecker and interment in Atkinson Cemetery.

DEATH OF MRS MARY SCHAAF
Closing an illness of many months during which time she had sought physical aid and comfort at various hospitals, death came to relieve the sufferings of Mrs Mary Schaaf on June 23rd.
The treatment of physicians at Tilden Hospital, Sioux City and Hot Springs, SD, was sought by this invalid mother, but to no avail.
11 children, 6 daughters and 5 sons, are bereft of a mother's love and guidance and the sorrowing husband of a devoted helpmate.
Mary Timmerman was born in Dubuque, Iowa Dec 21,1870. Died in Atkinson June 23,1916, aged 45 years, 6 months and 2 days.
She was married to Michael Schaaf Oct 15,1888.
Requiem mass was held at St Joseph Catholic Church in Atkinson at 10 o'clock Sunday morning, conducted by Rev Father Loecker, of the local parish and attended by an unusually large gathering in solemn token of a high regard for the departed mother and friend. Interment was made in St Joseph Cemetery.

The entire family of Mr and Mrs William Stevens, residing near Inman, were poisoned, Sunday, presumably from eating canned goods and the little two year old daughter of the family is dead as a result, while the other members of the family have partially recovered and now are out of danger.
The poisoning is supposed to have resulted from canned tomatoes served at Sunday dinner.
The little daughter died Monday and the funeral was held Wednesday.

JUNIOR THOMPSON ACCIDENTALLY SHOT
Junior Thompson, the 6 year old son of Charles Thompson, who live 22 miles south of O'Neill, Wednesday afternoon accidentally shot and killed his younger brother, Frederick, 5. The father and two sons were in the cornfield shooting rabbits when the tragedy occurred.
Mr Thompson left his gun in a wagon and Junior picked it up to examine it. As Frederick approached the gun was discharged, shooting him throught the head and killing him.
