CRISMAN, HERBERGER, KELLER, LEEK, PETERSON, RHODES, SEIBOLD, WYSOKI posted by Stephanie Sampson on Monday, August 20, 2001

I'm looking for information on the descendants of the following couple: Johannes "John" SEIBOLD (b. 1 Nov 1840 in Neuhausen,Wrtt,Germany; d. 23 Apr 1915 in Kearney, Buffalo Co., NE) m. Margaret HERBERGER (b. 28 Oct 1843 in Lockport, Erie Co., NY; d. 11 Oct 1916 in Kearney, Buffalo Co., NE) on 12 Apr 1864 in Swormville, Erie Co., NY. John Seibold was a son of Johann Seibold and Anna Maria Fritton, and Margaret Herberger was a daughter of Gregory Herberger and Susannah Acker. It appears that John and Margaret (Herberger) Seibold were married in Buffalo Co., New York, then lived in Stark Co., Illinois where they raised their children, and ultimately moved to Kearney, Buffalo Co., Nebraska where they eventually died. The 1890 Kearney, Nebraska city directory shows a John W. Seibold as operating a meat market, and Mrs. Margaret Seibold as being employed as a millinery and dressmaker. At this time the couple appeared to have resided at 515 Central Avenue in Kearney, NE. John and Margaret (Herberger) Seibold had (at least) the following children, all born in Wyoming, Stark Co., Illinois:
1. Margaret Seibold, b. 1865, m. Fred RHODES.
2. John William Seibold, b. 1866, m. Caroline "Carrie" PETERSON.
3. Ella Seibold, b. 1868, m. William Ludwig KELLER.
4. Matilda Mileeta Seibold, b.1870, m. David CRISMAN.
5. Anna Seibold, b. 1872
6. William John Seibold, b. 1874, m. Isabela LEEK.
7. Catherine Seibold, b. 1876, m. Stanley WYSOKI.
I have no information on any of the descendants of the above individuals, and don't know if the children of John & Margaret (Herberger) Seibold relocated to Nebraska along with their parents. Anyone connected to this line or who has any additional data to add, please contact me directly via e-mail.

BERGSTEN, WILLIAMS posted by Lil Boron on Sunday, September 2, 2001

Fred WILLIAMS or possibly aka Thomas Alfred John WILLIAMS (b. 1882 in Wales) m Eva BERGSTEN on Sept. 10, 1912. Would like to know where they were married. Fred died at the Soldiers & Sailors' home in Grand Island on Aug. 27, 1959. I'd also like any possible information on his 2 sons, possibly born in Buffalo County. Their names are Laverne WILLIAMS and Paul WILLIAMS. They are both deceased. Any info on Eva Bergsten WILLIAMS would also be helpful. I believe she and Fred had been divorced but have no idea when. Fred supposedly lived most of his life in Buffalo County.

FORREST posted by Elizabeth Reitz on Thursday, October 4, 2001

I am looking for information on John & Nettie (Ashby) Forrest, who lived in or near Lexington. I believe John's middle initial was "W". Their son, Lute, was born August 12, 1892 somewhere in this vicinity. Lute was my maternal grandfather. Although John is listed as owning his sister & brother-in-law's (Ruth & Terry L. Bell) farm in one of the Dawson Cty. list of farmers, his surname was misspelled with only one "r". John was a farmer during this same time, but was not listed. Also, there is a John W. Forrest listed in the Buffalo Cty. Bibliography site. His dates could work as Lute Forrest's grandfather. Any information on either of these John Forrests would be greatly appreciated.
