DILDINE, EWER, EWERS, HIGGINS, WAMSLEY posted by Sid Ewer on Friday, April 9, 1999

I am looking for information on E.W. EWERS who, around 1884, willed property to his daughter, Flora DILDINE, in Buffalo County. This E.W. EWERS will was dated at about the same time that my great-great grandmother, Ellen WAMSLEY EWER HIGGINS, moved to/was living in Buffalo County (Cedar Township). Most of her children were hers and Reuel EWER's children. We, the descendants of Reuel EWER, have never heard of another family with the name of EWER or EWERS in Buffalo County and have no idea who E.W. EWERS or his daughter Flora could have been, but it seems very coincidental. It is important to us to know something about this E.W. EWERS or his daughter, Flora, because we have never found the origins of Reuel EWER and E.W. EWERS may give us a clue. Reuel EWER died in the Civil War; he and Ellen lived in Wisconsin before the war.

I am seeking information on Elmer and Fronia Anna (McINTOSH) MILLER married about 1926 in Oregon. Fronia born 1906 in Newport, WA; died 19 Feb 1935 in Kearney, Buffalo County. She was the daughter of Sebert DeForest and Charlotte Lillian "Lottie" (PENNEY) McINTOSH. One daughter, Bernadine, born 1927 in Portland, OR; died 18 Feb 1940 in Kearney, Buffalo County. I would like to confirm that Elmer, Fronia, and Bernadine are buried in the Kearney Cemetery plus information on Elmer's.birth and death plus who his parents were.
Fronia and Bernadine's causes of death was tuberculosis. Fronia was placed in the TB hospital in Kearney where she died. Bernadine was abandoned by her father after Fronia's death. It is believed that Elmer placed her in the 'Kearney Orphanage' and left the area."
